Babysitting Cousins...Finally!

I had to post pictures of when I babysat 3 of Chick's 5 cousins that live up in Maryland for a few days in August while their mom went to education week. Looking back on these pics made me realize that most of the entertainment that I provided for food......I guess that is my specialty. I also took them to the free movies in Alexandria...and curled their hair a lot...and did pictures.

It was heaven for all of us, it felt like we were a "big family," and we were so sad to have to drop them back off at home!

P.S. Hatcher successfully made it to Irvine!!!! I'm so excited for him to start work tomorrow! And I am SOOOOO excited to meet up with him in a few weeks and take Chick to Disneyland. On Friday she told me, "I have a great idea. First we can go to Jackson's house, THEN we can go to DISNEYLAND, and theeeeen we can go to pre-school." Love her!

I'm not kidding you that we went through 3 watermelons in 5 days!!!!!

We played a lot on the blow up air mattress that they slept on

Since there's a Krispy Kreme in Alexandria we stopped for donuts after one of the movies! And holy cow, did these kids get hyper in the donut shop!!!

They were literally dancing on top of the chairs...I figured it probably had happened there before so I let them party on. ; )

One of the coolest things that Hatcher's family has taught me is how to make these "tiny ball pancakes" (as Chick calls them). They are Danish "aebleskivers" and a staple in our house. You have to get a special pan (I've seen one at William & Sonoma). You can fill them with fruit jam or Nutella...OR you can make them with wheat flour and dye them blue like we did. : )

Chick LOVED playing house with her cousins and loved being the baby. Her cousin holding her in this pic is 6 years old (I think Chick weighs more than her!)!

This was her "crib"

We got in a mini photoshoot since I had to take headshots of Hatcher for his residency application. How gorgeous are my neices?!

Okay we made aebleskivers once with some friends when I was little and I totally forgot about them...I want them again, you have to show me how to do them next time I see you!

So much to comment on. Cute kids and looks like you really captured how much fun y'all had. You are a super aunt.

So here's my latest idea...

We both live in Utah (not the best place, I know, but it's the most likely destination for the both of us)...

We live in townhouses right next to each other...we saw a door in between our houses...during the day, we'll leave it open. That way, you and I can co-parent our children and I'll do all the work while you photograph all the moments we don't want to forget. Plan? Right. I'll start working on the details :-)

You are the coolest aunt ever. I'm pretty sure I need to see you soon or I'm going to die!!! Okay, sorry for being over dramatic but that's how it really is...

Glad Hatcher made it to Irvine. I'm jealous you guys are going to Disneyland. I LOVE disneyland.
