Mommy: No, say, "I want a c-c-c-cookie"
Chick: I want a tookie (with a smirk on her face)
Mommy: Say, "I like cats"
Chick: I like tats
Mommy: I like c-c-c-cats
Chick: I like c-c-c-bagels. I like dogs. I like pink. I like bugs.
I laugh because she's being hilarious and get up to leave...
Chick: Wait to me mommy! (...I keep walking and forget to correct her mistake) Mommy! Now you say, "Wait FOOOR me"
Mommy: Oh yea...please say, "Wait FOR me"
Chick: Now I say, "Wait TO me" (she says quickly and with a big smirk on her face)
I've been working with her on these two areas. Her c's and switching her "wait to me's" to "wait for me's." But today confirmed that she is just messing with me. It's totally an attention game to her.

This is hilarious. This is great. Not only is it cute but so fun for me to hear. I am in a linguistics class and learning all about language aquisition, it also reminds me of all I learned about children learning a language.
