This weekend we are awaiting news on whether or not Chick is going to be able to keep her front tooth. She fell last night at a restaurant onto a concrete floor and slammed one of her top teeth waaaaaayyyy back out of it's socket. It's still in her mouth, attached by one tiny ligament, but after seeing 3 doctors in the ER last night it sounds like the probability of her keeping the tooth is slim to none. They all looked at me like I was crazy for being upset that she is losing her tooth (I kept asking, "Are you sure there's NOTHING we can do?!?!?!") She'll get her permanent tooth in it's place....but that will take roughly 4 years. Even if the dentist is able to salvage her tooth, it will most likely be black or purple. Oh, the agony!!!
Ironically, Chick went to the dentist for her first REAL cleaning yesterday morning and did amazing. They kept saying what a good patient she was and how beautiful her teeth were. Whhhhyyy didn't I take her out for one last photoshoot Friday morning?!?!
Please, don't forget this face. I'll post pictures of Chick soon and update everyone with hopefully good news on Monday. How come they don't do teeth crowns for kids?! ; )
Please, oh please, let them be able to salvage her tooth!!!!!!

I am dying for you! She will be darling regardless but what an ordeal!
Poor little girl. I'm so sorry she got hurt.
Try not to worry about the tooth. Kids look super cute toothless. Remember how cute she was before all those teeth came in?
As always, she looks adorable, and that dress is super sweet! I miss you and I definitely miss your photography skills. You are unmatched.
ok when i heard about it i was totally depressed and so sad! Ouch that sounds painful :( she'll still looks cute though, and we are kinda twiners... I had a black tooth when i was little, wow my mini me!

what the heck...four years?!? i sense your anxiousness! poor little lady..i hope she isn't in too much pain. :( she will still be DARLING no matter what!
(can you photoshop in a tooth?)
I can't decide if I want to laugh or cry... right now I am leaning towards laughing. What a ridiculous and sad situation! I hope she is not traumatized and I hope maybe she doesn't have to be toothless (although oof course it doesn't really really matter)!
They don't do fake teeth for kids' baby teeth? really?
And look at it this way, if she does have a long-term toothless grin we can have her sing "all I want for Christmas is my little front 'toof'" for then next four years :-D
Love you!
Hahaha so when we were chatting earlier I kind of felt bad laughing and I really did think it was cute she didn't want to look in the mirror...but really, when Mike and I saw the pictures on this post just now we couldn't hold back, that last picture is kind of hilarious! BUT, kids with missing teeth are so cute! Maybe it's because of my job or something, but I love it. She will still be as adorable as ever:)
