Baseball Ghost Town

Hatcher had a weekend off over Easter and told me, "I gotta get out of here!" I'm like, "Ok, where do you want to go?" Well, he's always wanted to go see the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. So we packed up and just went! It's a super long drive up there so we stopped halfway in Scranton, PA....just so we could say that we've been in the city of one of our favorite shows, The Office.

We Pricelined hotels and got amazing deals. And can I just say something??? Continental breakfast is the best thing in the world. I am such a night owl, but I'm not kidding you when I say that I was waking up before even Chick just because I was too excited to sleep while I knew the breakfast was out.

Cooperstown was totally a ghost town because it's not baseball season. It was so weird to drive around and not see ANYONE. There were tons of beautiful hotels that had about 2 cars in the parking lot because NO ONE comes to the town off season! It worked great for us because the rates were so low and we didn't ever have to wait in line in the museum.

I had my second round of injections today and am feeling ok! Thanks to EVERYONE that is helping with Chick and meals. It's so nice to know I have such amazing friends.

Here's some pics!

We loved hanging out on main street even though tons of the shops just closed down until the summer! Chick would go around looking in the windows screaming "BASEBALL STUFF!!!!!"

Photobucket
Hatcher read EVERY SINGLE sign in the entire museum. He was like a little kid so excited at Disneyland going through the baseball museum. I am so glad he got this break!!!

Photobucket
Chick LOVED staying up late with us every night while we took advantage of free cable. Umm, and have you guys seen the Madagascar show on Nick Jr.?! Actually, I think it's about the penguins but I think me & Hatcher liked it even more than Chick did.

Photobucket
CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST!!!! Chick really liked the donuts. She's SO my daughter.

Photobucket
Did I mention she liked the donuts? Notice on the left how she ate them.

Photobucket
I wish I had wiped her mouth for this shot! She was so sweet and just leaned back to give Hatcher a hug.

Photobucket
Our hotel was right on the lake, we lost cell phone reception and felt so isolated.

Photobucket
These two had so much fun together!

Photobucket
He was actually happy in this shot but I made him give me his fierce look. Yea, baby!

That sounds like so much fun. Andrew would LOVE to go there again sometime. You guys did it the right way with no crowds. I had no idea that you were taking injections. is this for your back?
